Phase II of the project includes a variety of public outreach initiatives to inform communities and other stakeholders about the project and to solicit public input. These include:

- Presentation at the 2008 Alaska Municipal League Conference (complete)
- Presentation(s) to the Marine Transportation Advisory Board (MTAB)
- Presentations at other regional meetings
- Household survey
- Project website
